Really, what’s a promise? And what if the promise came straight from God? Would that promise be any different if it came from you or me?  What promises does God make, and can we trust Him to fulfill them?

The mark of a true Christian is one who HEARS God’s Word.  They will not be in danger of blaspheming the Spirit and apostatizing.  Why?  Because they will stay open to the convicting work of the Spirit in their lives.  

In this way, they WILL grow.  But that growth won’t stall out at mere Bible knowledge.  It will move on to productive service for Christ.

Continue coming to hear the Word preached.  Let it challenge you.  Let it rebuke you.  Let it break open your hard heart so you can long to go deep with God in His Word.  

For you, as well as all human beings, will need a deeply rooted faith to stand firm in the days of evil that are soon to come.  

Because of Jesus Christ, death is not a dead-end, but a doorway into eternal life…IF you believe.

Will you trust Him?  Will you see that Resurrection is credible…and available, if you believe in Christ?

We need a perfect High Priest to both deal gently with us AND deliver us.

Christ gives grace to us even when we struggle to give faith to Him.

You are holding fast to your faith in Jesus Christ.  He allowed Himself to be naked and exposed on the cross.  The sacrificial knife was held to His neck.  He submitted Himself to death.  He did this, that you and I might have His perfect righteousness imputed and transferred to your account…IF YOU BELIEVE and continue to STRIVE to hold fast to this faith and live out your faith in obedience to God.

When Christ comes, will He find faith in me?

We must embrace the fact that our faith is to be actively fought for.  It is to be exercised and nurtured. Given all that’s at stake and on the authority of the Word of God – we must conclude that casual Christianity is not appropriate. Rather, we must be vigilant to live out our faith knowing the one who has called us to follow Him will sustain us as we do.
